Cool enough for Sam, so-so for Mom - I have a 7 (going on 14) year old boy who wants to look cool like the older boys in school. These shoes seem to fit the bill. As a Mom, though, I don't feel they are very supportive. They slip off his heel and the sole is totally flat. I guess that's what boarding shoes are all about-the flat bottoms. Call me square, but these shoes aren't very practical for an athletic kid like mine.
